Las Vegas, NV

Day 15

In the morning we parted ways with Giles. He was sad that we were probably the last friends he was going to see for months.

We drove towards Vegas, which was a pretty sweet ride through a canyon and mountain area. We stopped at a liquor super store to get bottles to walk around Vegas with. I got honey jack.

Top Golf was our first stop. That place is awesome. It’s setup like a bowling alley, but your playing golf games.

Each ball has a microchip and keeps scores for the player hitting it. The farther the target and the closer you get to the center the more points you get. Logan was driving balls like a pro. Cameron was the overall winner. I was just along for the ride.

Next, we checked into the Luxor, where Cam purchased a room. We went to the room, changed, then headed out on the strip. We were jumping from casino to casino where Cam was gambling, playing wheel of fortune slots and roulette mostly. Logan also gambled a bit playing wheel of fortune. I was just along for the ride, I don’t have the money this trip to be wasting.

We made it through basically the whole strip and were getting kind of bored. I was expecting Vegas to be a bit crazier, especially on Halloween. Our next stop was Freemont street where they said “All the crazy shit happens”.

It was a much bigger crowd, with seemingly younger people. It was a pretty cool party area. At that point I was on my 2nd 350ml of honey jack, so I was pretty lit. I smacked Cam in the face for some reason I can’t remember (it wasn’t very hard).

We made it back to the hotel and went to sleep around 6am.

We were woken up around 8:30 to what sounded like a jackhammer the room directly above us. It was the most obnoxious, annoying, rage inducing noise I’d ever heard. Waking up to that being super hungover with only 3 hours of sleep was pretty awful.

Logan ended up calling the front desk to complain, and they said they were going to try to give Cam a refund on his money. I’ll have to wait and see if they ended up refunding. This is where we parted ways. It was a sad time, now I’m back on my own. The first ⅓ of my trip had come to an end. So far so good.
