Trinidad Lake State Park

At this point I’m pretty aware that I’m not going to be able to do as much hiking as I previously planned. I didn’t train my body beforehand. I wasn’t prepared. But, now I know. Needless to say I had to make some adjustments to my plans.

I canceled my trip to Humboldt Peak.

Instead I decided to get a much needed shower and do some work on a clients website (eriebonebroth.com). My hope is to rest up my hip and be ready for the big hike (26 miles, 3 nights) at Maroon Bells.

When chatting with the State Park employee I mentioned my ailments and she said that since I’m going to be near Glenwood Springs I should look into a hot spring. My crappy Motel 8 didn’t have a hot tub, so why not check out a natural hot tub right?
